Monica Jaye Stabbert’s Priorities for Nevada
Public Safety: Law and Order
A safe community is the foundation of a prosperous state. I will always stand with our law enforcement and first responders to ensure they have the support necessary to keep our neighborhoods safe. My priority is upholding the rule of law, protecting our families, and ensuring that those who break our laws are held accountable.
Constitutional Rights: Protecting Our Liberties
Our rights are God-given and must be protected from government overreach. I will be a steadfast defender of our First Amendment right to free speech, our Second Amendment rights, and Fourth Amendment protections against illegal search and seizure. I believe in a limited government that respects the privacy of its citizens, safeguards private property rights, and protects the sanctity of our homesteads.
The Economy: Fiscal Responsibility
As a small business owner, I know that high costs are the biggest threat to Nevada families. I will fight to keep taxes low and cut bureaucratic red tape. Critically, I will work to keep Nevada energy independent and protect our power grid from outside threats and instability. By prioritizing reliable, local energy and free-market principles, we can lower the cost of living and ensure our economy remains resilient.
Education: Expanding School Choice
I believe that every child in Nevada deserves a quality education that fits their unique needs, regardless of their zip code. I will be a tireless advocate for school choice, ensuring that education funding follows the student and that parents have the ultimate authority to choose the best environment for their children. By empowering families, we can drive excellence and competition across our entire education system.
Health Care: Patient-Centered Care
Drawing on my perspective as a small business owner, I understand that the best healthcare decisions are made by patients and their doctors, not by bureaucrats. I support a market-based approach to healthcare that increases competition, improves access for our rural communities, and protects the doctor-patient relationship. We must focus on common-sense solutions that lower costs and improve the quality of care for all Nevadans.
